FORGING STRENGTH
PRESERVING RADIANCE

Founded on the principles of the Manasollasa text from 1135 AD, the KDMA Academy stands as the premiere global center for Mallakhamb excellence. We believe that true athletic mastery is as much a mental pursuit as it is a physical one.

Our mission is to take this 900-year-old tradition and translate it into the modern era, ensuring that the fire of the strength-benders never goes out. We train not just athletes, but guardians of a cultural heritage.

CENTURIES OF
STRENGTH

Mallakhamb, derived from the Sanskrit words 'Malla' (wrestler) and 'Khamb' (pole), dates back to the 12th century, where it was mentioned in the Manasollasa by Someshvara Chalukya.

Originally developed as a conditioning exercise for wrestlers, it evolved into a sophisticated competitive sport. The Kanyakumari District Association was founded to provide a structured platform for practitioners in the southern tip of India, ensuring the art survives and thrives in the digital age.

Today, we combine this ancient physical discipline with modern sports science, producing athletes who represent the pinnacle of human flexibility, balance, and raw power.
